I told about my last negative experiences with DAZ. I will not repeat this… extensively.
“The Couple” is still progressing. Much slower than I hoped and wanted – but I will not cease. There are other hobbies… games and other programming projects that I do in parallel. It can’t be helped.
But doing “The couple” is still fun!
Mainly I tried rendering more images – and I did… but not as many as I would have liked.
Last week I was on a small holiday trip – 5 days. In preparation I build a DAZ queue of about 250 images – in my estimate my computer would have taken about 4 days for the render – perfect for my small vacation.
Theoretically.
Without me attending my render machine – stupid DAZ crashed after about twenty images.
That was that – now I have still a huge queue, holiday is over and I have to use my computer for other things then rendering. Multitasking while rendering – that is not possible.
Out of the twenty rendered images – I could only use a handfull (see last post).
At least – when the current queue is finished – then day two of the “AniAndInaFun” path will be done (pending bug fixes).
Yeah!
(The Julia-Ani scene alone are more then 300 renders…)
After that I will do all the other first days… I should be able to reuse quite a lot – so that at least all first days will be done.
The different paths do not seperate all that much yet – so reuse will hopefully quite easy.
The title image of this blog entry shows Ina as she approaches Peter – still trying to flirt with him…
Two other “new” images:

Additionaly to rendering – I revised some passages of the prologue – and started on the first chapter of the main game. I only started on one path – and only the beginning – but word wise I am about 20000 words in.
It is still in an experimental stage – as I am not sure yet how many player choices I actually want.
Only “big” ones which influence the story?
Only small ones – which influence slight behavious changes?
Both?
I am not concerned about the amount of text… this is a hobby project which – I am sure of it – will take years to finish anyway.
But it sure should be at least:
a) doable
b) enjoyable for the reader
Still learning – I guess.
Following a small extract from chapter one I wrote so far.
Ina, trying to convince her mother – to let her be with Ani…
